Reflection on English Teaching
1. Positives (What went well?)
Write about the things you enjoyed or did well in this semester.
- What was your favorite topic among Agree and Disagreement, Procedure Text, and
Announcement Text? Why?
My favorite topic is Procedure Text, because the lesson is interesting and when I make my blog it's fun and interesting.
- What specific skills (speaking, writing, listening, or reading) improved during this semester?
Actually all of them, but more specific to writing and reading English.
2. Problems (What challenges did you face?)
Identify areas where you struggled or found difficulty.
- Which topic or skill was the hardest for you? Why?
I think, Procedure Text is the hardest but also the most exciting topic for me. Because this material needs the right and correct order. It can't be done haphazardly. For the hardest skill, is listening.
- Were there any moments when you felt unmotivated or confused? What caused it?
When I feel like I can't complete one of the materials that my friends are already experts at, I feel confused and have difficulty.
3. Plans (What will you do to improve?)
Set specific goals and strategies for the next semester.
- What will you do to overcome the challenges mentioned above?
I will try to understand better, make an effective study plan and increase enthusiasm for learning English
- How will you practice English outside the classroom? (e.g., reading books, watching English videos, joining discussions, etc.)
I will learn from reading books, watching English video, like vlog, Travelling or maybe through learning apps like duolingo, mesmerize, etc.
4. Progress (What improvements have you noticed?)
Reflect on the changes and growth you have experienced.
- Compare your skills and confidence in using English now to when the semester began.
At the beginning of the semester, I had a little difficulty in terms of listening and reading, but as time went on I became more able and understood because I often studied it.
- Mention any achievement, no matter how small, that you are proud of.
I was able to complete the writing and reading practice assignments well, and discuss appropriately. Also, I can also slowly communicate with English sometimes, I can understand someone who speaks English
Additional Feedback:
Do you have any suggestions to improve the learning experience in this class?
My suggestion is in the next semester, maybe we can use fun learning methods, games or even by learning through watching English videos.
